Evil Eye, Energetic Attacks, Curses, and Unkind Wishes

Some subjects in the energetic world are difficult to speak about without falling into one of two extremes:
or frightening people too much,
or dismissing the subject entirely.
I do not believe in either extreme.
As always, I am writing here from my own truth, as I have formed it through experience, study, observation, spiritual work, and information I have received over the years from my higher guidance through channeling.
In the world I work with and explore, energy follows intention.
And intention is not “just a thought”, it carries a quality, a frequency, and emotion.
Most of us know this, even if we have not always given it a name.
Have you ever walked into a room and felt the tension in the air?
Have you ever received a beautiful gift, but something about it felt unpleasant to use, for no obvious reason?
Have you ever felt suddenly uncomfortable near someone you did not know, or the opposite, an immediate sense of safety and softness?
There can be many reasons for these experiences: emotional, physical, psychological, intuitive, and energetic.
But in the energetic world, one possibility is that we are sensing not only what is said or done, but also the quality moving beneath the surface.
The intention.
The charge.
The frequency.
What Is an Energetic Attack?
An energetic attack is any energy sent from one person to another that does not carry a benevolent quality.
It is not always witchcraft.
It is not always a curse.
And it does not always involve a ritual, an object, or a deliberate action.
Sometimes it is jealousy.
Sometimes anger.
Sometimes hatred, revenge, criticism, judgment, or malice.
And sometimes, surprisingly, even very strong worry or fear for another person can be sent as unpleasant energy, even when wrapped in good intentions.
Because good intentions do not always mean clean energy.
You can love someone and still send them fear.
You can worry about someone and still burden them energetically.
You can give a beautiful gift and still pass an unpleasant charge through it.
We are complex beings.
And this is one of the most important things to understand about this subject.
The Evil Eye, Gifts, and Unpleasant Feelings
Let us take a simple example.
One woman is very jealous of another woman.
She gives her a gift. The gift is beautiful, thoughtful, perhaps even given out of politeness or from some desire to do good.
But if there is strong jealousy inside the person giving the gift, that jealousy can become attached to the object.
In such a case, the gift may contain both a certain good intention and the frequency of jealousy.
And jealousy is not an easy frequency, it can be sharp, contracted, heavy, and sometimes even aggressive.
A sensitive person may feel that something about the gift is unpleasant.
Not because the gift is externally “bad,” but because something it carries does not sit well with the body, the heart, or the energetic field.
Now, let us go one step further.
What happens if the gift was not given from joy, but only because it “had to be given”?
Without love, without goodwill, and with jealousy beneath the surface?
Here, the energetic charge is already heavier.
And what if, alongside the jealousy, there were also unkind thoughts or words?
Inner or spoken wishes such as: “May things go badly for her,” “I hope she chokes on it,” or “May he fail”?
Here we are already moving closer to the realm of the evil eye, unkind wishes, and sometimes even a curse.
And what if, beyond that, an intentional magical act was performed in order to harm through the object?
Then we are already speaking of harmful witchcraft, black magic. Magical work done with the intention to harm, control, weaken, or injure.
So it is important to distinguish between these things:
The evil eye is a state in which a gaze, intention, jealousy, or negative charge is sent toward a person, object, home, or situation.
A curse is a more focused, harmful intention.
Black witchcraft is an intentional magical act performed to create a harmful effect.
Not every unpleasant feeling is a curse.
Not every person who envied you has “done witchcraft on you.”
And not every difficult period in life is caused by an energetic attack.
But in my view, it is also not right to completely dismiss the possibility that other people’s energy can affect us.
As with many things, the truth is found in a more subtle and complex place.
Does an Energetic Attack Need an Object?
No.
An object can carry energy, but it is not necessary.
Energy follows intention.
This means that obsessive thoughts, ongoing jealousy, anger, hatred, or the desire to harm can be sent without an object, without words, and without ritual.
This does not mean that every negative thought immediately harms someone.
We do not need to be afraid of every emotion that passes through us.
We are all human, and we all sometimes experience anger, jealousy, fear, or judgment.
The difference lies in intensity, duration, focus, and intention.
There is a great difference between a jealous thought that passes for a moment and disappears, and an obsessive preoccupation with another person, with the desire that they should fail.
There is a difference between a moment of human anger and hatred that is cultivated over years.
There is a difference between pain that rises within us and the choice to send that pain outward in order to harm.
How Can This Kind of Energy Affect Us?
According to the energetic perspective, when non-beneficial energy is sent toward a person, it meets their field (Some will call this the aura, the egg of light, an energetic field, an electromagnetic field, a subtle body, or layers of spiritual protection). The names vary between traditions, but the idea is similar:
A person is not only a physical body, but also an emotional, conscious, and energetic system.
When energy from the outside meets this system, several things can happen.
If the person is held, protected, balanced, and relatively connected to their own power, the energy may simply not enter.
If there is a weak point, exhaustion, fear, lack of boundaries, an open wound, or a deep emotional connection to the sender, the energy may attach, enter, or become heavy.
And when non-beneficial energy enters and has no way to be released, it may create a feeling of heaviness, confusion, fatigue, restlessness, stagnation, or a dimming of the inner light. In some cases, it may also affect one’s luck, health, relationships, work, and the way certain events unfold.
Not every difficulty, illness, accident, crisis, or low mood is caused by the evil eye or an energetic attack.
Life is far more complex than that, and it is always important to relate to the physical, emotional, medical, and practical reality as well.
At the same time, from my work and experience, I do recognize that sometimes there is an energetic layer that needs to be cleared, released, or protected from.
Do We All Experience Energetic Attacks?
In the broad sense, probably yes, at different levels.
We live in a world full of people, emotions, thoughts, gazes, relationships, competition, fears, jealousy, love, pain, expectations, and disappointments.
Energies move between us all the time.
But does every person have great power over us?
No.
And this is a very important point.
Not every jealousy enters.
Not every anger harms.
Not every unpleasant gaze becomes a significant evil eye.
And not every person who directs something difficult toward us truly succeeds in affecting us.
The effect depends on several factors.
What Influences Whether Energy Can Enter?
The first thing is our inner state.
The more connected we are to our own light, our boundaries, our worth, and our inner center, the harder it is for external energy to shake us.
This does not mean we have to be “in the light” all the time.
We are human. We have difficult days, fears, anger, exhaustion, sadness, and jealousy of our own.
But the more we tend to our inner space, the less available we become to similar energies from the outside.
The second thing is how much power we give others over us.
Sometimes it is the simple knowing:
“Not every person is allowed to enter me.”
“Not every gaze defines me.”
“Not every criticism is true.”
“Not every energy that reaches me belongs to me.”
The third thing is the level of our energetic protection.
This includes consciously choosing our environment, energetic cleansing, prayer, smoke, water, salt, amulets, working with light, boundaries, rituals, and other tools according to one’s tradition and personal belief.
The fourth thing is the power of the person sending the energy.
Not every person has the same energetic strength.
Not every person has the same ability to focus.
And not every intention carries the same weight.
The fifth thing is emotional closeness.
People close to us can affect us more precisely because our field is more open to them.
A wound from a stranger is not the same as a wound from someone we love.
The jealousy of someone distant is not the same as the jealousy of someone inside the home, family, relationship, or close circle.
Where we love, we are also more open.
And therefore, in those places, we sometimes need gentler, wiser, and clearer protections.
The sixth thing is how much intention and engagement have been invested in the energy.
A small jealousy that passes and disappears is not the same as obsessive jealousy.
A momentary anger is not the same as hatred cultivated over years.
A difficult thought is not the same as an intentional magical act.
Power is built from focus, repetition, emotion, and intention.
So What Can We Do?
First of all, do not enter fear.
Fear opens unhelpful gates more than almost anything else.
True protection does not begin with panic, but with presence.
The first thing I recommend is tending to your inner emotional landscape.
Work with criticism, judgment, jealousy, and fear. Do it from a place of responsibility.
These can sometimes be lifelong practices, but the path itself changes the frequency we live in.
And when we live in a frequency that is cleaner, steadier, and more benevolent, we become less available to harmful energy from the outside.
The second thing is to engage with things that raise your frequency.
Creation.
Writing.
Music.
Gardening.
Dancing.
Nature.
The sea.
Walking.
Prayer.
Handwork.
Spending time with people who bring you back to yourself.
Anything that brings a smile to your face or your heart is not “just a hobby.”
It is part of your protective field.
The third thing is to learn basic cleansing and protection.
You do not need to begin with complicated practices.
You can begin with cleansing the home, lighting a candle with clear intention, washing your hands consciously, working with salt, smoke, water, prayer, breath, guided visualization, or a personal protection phrase.
The main thing is not the tool itself.
The main thing is the intention, the clarity, and the return of inner authority to you.
The fourth thing is to pay attention to objects.
If there is an object in your home that does not feel good to you, do not immediately argue with the feeling.
Check it, cleanse the object, move it away for a while, notice how your body responds.
Not every unpleasant object needs to be thrown away, but not every object needs to remain close to you just because you feel uncomfortable letting it go.
The fifth thing is to use amulets or protective objects.
A good protective amulet carries an energetic layer that helps shield the person from foreign, harmful, or unwanted energies, especially in moments of vulnerability, tiredness, emotional openness, or lack of attention.
When created by a witch, practitioner, or experienced spiritual worker, an amulet can hold a strong protective frequency over time. It supports the energetic field, strengthens its boundaries, and helps maintain a clearer and safer space around the person.
And the sixth thing is to know when to ask for help.
If there is a lasting feeling of heaviness, blockage, the evil eye, unexplained stagnation, or an object that feels especially charged, sometimes it is right to turn to an experienced person who works with energetic cleansing, removal of the evil eye, or protection.
Like cleaning a house.
Like airing out a room.
Like bringing light back into a place that has become too heavy.
To Conclude
The evil eye, energetic attacks, curses, and unkind wishes are not subjects we need to fear, but they are also not subjects we should dismiss.
We live in a world of connections.
People affect one another.
Words affect.
Intentions affect.
Emotions affect.
And objects, sometimes, hold within them far more than what can be seen.
But within all of this, it is important to remember:
There is no need to panic simply because someone is jealous of you or has sent an unkind thought in your direction.
At the same time, if life begins to feel unusually blocked — if there is a repeated pattern of problems, failures, bad luck, emotional heaviness, or things simply not working out again and again — it is worth checking whether the evil eye or another energetic attack may be involved.
Not every difficulty is spiritual in origin.
But sometimes, there is an energetic layer that needs to be seen, cleansed, and protected against.
Wishing you light, clarity, and protection,
With love,
Eynav
